Given that many blockbuster titles have been given this treatment in recent years, it comes as no surprise that EA’s upcoming shooter Battlefield 4
will feature a mandatory installation to your hard drive upon starting the game for the first time on Xbox 360. The publisher has outlined the size of the data needed for the mandatory install, as well as laying out options for installing additional content on one or both of the discs.
The first time you start your game, regardless of which disc you use, you will be asked to perform a required installation of 2 GB worth of game content to your hard drive.
In addition to the required installation, each disc has additional content you can install to your hard drive for better performance.
• The Multiplayer Disc, or Disc 1, has an additional 6.6 GB of content
• The Single Player Disc, or Disc 2, has 5.8 GB of installation content.
We highly recommend performing these additional installations to make sure you have the best experience possible in Battlefield 4.
Therefore, you’re looking at a minimum installation of 2GB, with a maximum of 14.4 GB of data should you choose to install both of the discs’ content. If you have a smaller hard drive you may have a bit of juggling to do to get the richest Battlefield 4
experience on your Xbox 360.Battlefield 4
storms Xbox 360 on October 29th in North America, then on November 1st in Europe. The game will also be available at launch for Xbox One.
