Only a short while back during E3 it was revealed that there was to be a return to roots for Tanner and co, via the title Driver: San Francisco
However, the original launch date of November 26th has been canned with Ubisoft citing 'holiday competitiveness' as the impetus for it's decision. This announcement came as part of a Ubisoft financial debriefing after the company suffered some troubles in the months gone by.
Things look set to stabilise however with Ubisoft's CEO Yves Guillemot stating that:
The preorders are the strongest ever seen, already 20% above those from the same period last year, even before the awards announced following E3.
Let's hope we're tearing up the asphalt of San Francisco very soon in 2011.
