An automatic update to GTA Online
will be prompted the next time you start up Grand Theft Auto V
. This update focuses directly on progression loss during cloud save failures, in relation to both your character, cash balance, and vehicles. Rockstar has detailed the 1.05 Title Update with a few bullet point measures.
• Built in measures to prevent users from losing their progress when there is a cloud outage
• Built in a number of measures to protect players’ cash balances even if there are network problems
• Fixed an issue where on rare occasions during network problems the player could lose their Online vehicle or mods after exiting GTA Online
Rockstar is adamant about collecting feedback for GTA Online
and Grand Theft Auto V
. If you are experiencing technical problems, you are urged to contact them by submitting a request on their support page
, or by giving them a quick shout via Twitter
. For constructive gameplay feedback in regards to the Online, you can email them at GTAOnline@rockstargames.com.
Now that most of the fires relating to progression loss have been put out, Rockstar can focus on delivering the much anticipated Stimulus
. After all, you wouldn’t want to be awarded a massive bank roll only for it to be lost due to a save failure! The developer has stated that part one of the Stimulus should roll out in a few days time. Everyone will receive their payouts over the course of a full day, so don’t freak out if you don’t receive your GTA$ at the exact same time as other people do. This Stimulus has been delayed several times now
, but with the new Title Update certified and live, there’s reason to believe that Rockstar will finally deliver the Stimulus this week.
