Multinational telecommunications corporation AT&T has officially notified United States customers that from December 31st the Xbox 360 will no longer be classified as a supported U-verse receiver. This means that if you were using your console to watch Internet Television via the service, you will no longer be able to do so from the new year, and your only viable option would presumably be to use a traditional set top box instead.
Previously AT&T had stated that customers could purchase an Xbox 360 Gold membership to be able to take advantage of the service and that they would issue a $60 bill credit to cover the cost. However, now they will be offering the following:
We will now be issuing a $99 bill credit, which includes the $60, on your U-verse bill within one to two billing cycles.
