Need for Speed Rivals
has just received a game patch that has introduced the 2015 Ford Mustang model for use by players just days after the cars real-life reveal. The patch also brings a new in-game Ford garage that players can use as a Racer hide-out. Ford's Mark Bentley had this to say:
We worked closely with EA to provide engineering data for the new Mustang, several months before we showed it to the rest world. The computer design models enabled the game developers to create an accurate representation of the new Mustang.
Players can now use the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 as a cop car while chasing down Racers.
Five new liveries make an appearance too. Four of these liveries were created by the community using the Mustang Customizer online or mobile devices. The fifth design is a creation by RTR founder and Drift champion Vaughn Gittin Jr.

If they haven't done so already, players will be prompted to download the patch whenever they next boot up the game.
