Mighty No. 9 Co-Op Character Revealed

Back in September, it was revealed that the Kickstarter for Keiji Inafune's Mighty No. 9 was so successful that the game would be coming to the Xbox 360. A mere two weeks later, Inafune's project had met another stretch goal on the crowd-funding website that would allow the game to come to the Xbox One.

Since then, eager backers have been able to vote on some elements that will have an effect on the final product. One of these votes has been over the design of the main bot, Beck's partner, Call. After voting closed, we have the winning design, as drawn up by Inti Creates’ Yuuji Natsume.

Call

Of course, one can only continue to draw comparisons between Mighty No. 9 and one of Keiji Inafune's other popular series, Megaman. Where Megaman featured lead bots "Rock" and "Roll", Mighty No. 9 will feature "Beck" and "Call". Here's hoping that backers can vote for some cleverly named robot animal companion in the near future.

While there is no firm release date at this time, Mighty No. 9 isn’t expected until Spring 2015. Yes, that's right, 2015. So there's time for plenty more fan votes yet!
