Happy New Year, Achievement Hunters!

Before we get into the first achievement challenge of 2014, let's take a look back at the final challenge of 2013.

Last week we were challenged to pop the Mile High Club achievement in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. At the outset here were the stats on the achievement:

On December 27th, 2013 - 38,666 gamers (out of 140,392 on-site) had popped the achievement.
"Mile High Club" had a base score of 20G and a 1.91 ratio, which gave the TA score up to 38.

On January 3rd, 2014 - 38,797 gamers (out of 140,925 on-site) have popped the achievement.
"Mile High Club" has a base score of 20G and a 1.91 ratio, keeping the TA score at 38.

While we didn't make a dent in the ratio, it is nice to welcome well over 100 new members to "the club".

Our next Achievement of the Week challenge is going to require you to pull together some friends.

Halo 3: ODSTVidmaster Challenge: EndureThe Vidmaster Challenge: Endure achievement in Halo 3: ODST worth 66 pointsIn Firefight, on any mission, pass the 4th Set on 4-player Heroic LIVE co-op.

Thus far, 21,740 gamers (out of 120,646 on-site) have popped the achievement.
"Vidmaster Challenge: Endure" has a base score of 25G and a 2.36 ratio, giving it the TA score of 59.

The top solution comes from JohnnyAmp88 who suggests the following:

If you follow this method it is pretty easy:

Use the Alpha Site map and position 2 people across from each doorway. This creates two chokepoints the covenant have to go through and gives you clear shots at them.

Stay out of the middle of the room except for between reinforcements where you can go grab weapons.

Have one player on each side get a Fuel Rod Cannon for Hunters and Chieftans. Get ammo for it in between rounds.

Have one player on each side stripping Brute shields with a Plasma Rifle and the other player doing head shots.

Using these tactics on this map took two hours and ten minutes to complete but we did it losing minimal lives while taking down the tough enemies quickly and efficiently.
Since ODST is without a matchmaking system for Firefight, why not set up a gaming session for yourself and three other ODST buddies?

Good Luck!

If you have a suggestion for an Achievement of the Week, be sure to let us know in the comments. Check back next Friday for the full report on how our community did popping this achievement as well as the announcement of our next Achievement of the Week!
