Many gamers across all platforms will be aware of the name "Slender Man." The tall and thin man with extremely long arms has frightened a multitude of PC gamers as they've searched spooky forests and dilapidated shacks for peculiar pages and notes. Because of its exclusivity, those of us who stick to consoles, like myself, have only seen the Slender
titles from an outside view. However, all of that is about to change as Slender: The Arrival
is coming to XBLA.
The only official Slender Man game, Slender: The Arrival, is back to scare your pants off with two new levels created for its console debut. Blue Isle Studios has gone back to the brink of insanity to bring even more new content to Slender Man fans, all with a smooth layer of polish for console audiences. Featuring the hallmark terror, insanity and paranoia of the original, the latest iteration will delve deeper into the lives of those Slender Man has touched. Once players complete the core game, they’ll gain access to new flashback levels that will put them in the shoes of Slender Man’s victims. Slender: The Arrival is the definitive Slender experience on console that taps into the powers of loss, fear and curiosity.
Terror? Insanity? Paranoia? Yes please! For those of you who don't know much about the game, here's a little bit of info about it.
You're on your own. No one to come for you. No one to help you. No one to hear you scream. Slender: The Arrival is the official re-imagining and expansion of the original game created by Mark Hadley, teamed up with the writers behind the Marble Hornets series and the development team at Blue Isle Studios. The Arrival features a brand new storyline, improved visuals, great replay value, and most importantly, survival horror at its best. Slender: The Arrival now officially supports the Oculus Rift – a next generation virtual headset designed for super immersive gaming! The Rift intensifies the fear-factor, and gives players a brand new, immersive horror experience.
There isn't much word on console pricing, but we do know that the game will be coming in Q1 of 2014. As soon as an exact release date unearths itself, we'll be on the case to letting you know.
