By Jonathan Barnes, 2 years ago
Happy Friday, Gamers!

Last week, the community was challenged to pick up the Vidmaster Challenge: Endure achievement in Halo 3: ODST. Let's check and see how we did.

On January 3rd, 21,740 gamers (out of 120,646 on-site) had popped the achievement.
"Vidmaster Challenge: Endure" had a base score of 25G and a 2.36 ratio, giving it the TA score of 59.

Today, 21,791 gamers (out of 121,048) have popped the achievement.
The achievement retains its 2.36 ratio.

*cue sadness*

Not one to dwell on the past and past failures, let's move on to the NEW challenge for the week of January 10th.

This week's achievement is going to pull you back into Tamriel for the top ratio'd achievement in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Venturing through a cave

The Elder Scrolls V: SkyrimOblivion WalkerThe Oblivion Walker achievement in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim worth 65 pointsCollect 15 Daedric Artifacts

Thus far, 25,742 gamers (out of 107,827 on-site) have popped the achievement.
"Oblivion Walker" has a base score of 30G and a TA ratio of 2.05, giving it a TA score of 61.

By far one of the most entertaining side-quests, "Oblivion Walker" tasks you with hunting down all fifteen Daedric Artifacts, which can be time-consuming, but a fun challenge for a mid-to-high leveled character.

The current top solution comes from Perpalicious who has extensive step-by-step notes on how to acquire each one, complete with mission names, level requirements, whether they're missable or not, and the likelihood of glitches.

Here's just a taste of his work:

Mace of Molag Bal
Mission Name: House of Horrors
Missable: No
Level Requirement: None
Glitches: Yes

You need to have left Markarth and return for a second time to activate this quest. When you return the second time and pass the Abandoned House in Markarth, a gentleman named Vigilant Tyranus will be talking with a Nord named Yngvar. When Tyranus is done, he will ask you some questions and eventually you’ll help him through the house. Make sure you save before entering the house as many people have got stuck in the house and not able to leave.

There is also another possible glitch where Vigilant does not show up in front of the house. If you have this problem then go out the main door of Markarth and Vigilant should be on the stairs or at the bottom of them. If he isn’t there then check around the stables.
Good Luck!

If you have a suggestion for an Achievement of the Week, be sure to let us know in the comments. Check back next Friday for the full report on how our community did popping this achievement as well as the announcement of our next Achievement of the Week!
