Second screen gaming allows a game to expand beyond the confines of a single television screen to mobile devices, such as tablets or mobile phones, and can be controlled by either yourself or a second player.
Just recently, Hideo Kojima took a moment out of his hectic schedule to tweet some intriguing photos of the Second Screen functionality being tested for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. The game will indeed interact with both tablets and mobile phones, and will include a function to show the world map while playing:

By splitting the fifth title of the series in two, one can't help but wonder how long those cut scenes are going to be...
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is set to be released on March 18th, 2014 in North America and March 20th in Europe. It will cost $29.99 (or $19.99 digital download) on Xbox 360 and $39.99 (or $29.99 digital download) on Xbox One.
