The year is 2011, the month is March, Spring is in the air, Wills and Kate are about to tie the knot, THQ still lives and Atari aren't bankrupt. In fact they're so not bankrupt, that they announce an XBLA remake of their classic strategy title, Warlords. Due that summer, this new Warlords promised tower defending action for up to four players, including cooperative and competitive battles, a co-op siege mode, as well as 2v2 and classic free-for-all battles. Summer came and went with no more news. Then, in October of the next year we were suddenly furnished with a release date of November 14th, 2012, along with a launch trailer. The game launched, was played by 31 people on this site and then, almost as quickly as it had resurfaced, it was gone. Although no official reason was given for the mysterious and sudden delisting, it was presumably related to Atari's financial issues. Fast forward to today and, just as mysteriously as it was delisted, the game has now reappeared on the marketplace. With no official word as to why it is back or for how long, we can't say for sure if this relisting is intended, mistaken, temporary or permanent. For now, though, Warlords (2012) is available for US$4.99 / £3.99.
