Achievement of the Week for January 17th

By Jonathan Barnes, 2 years ago
Before we jump into the new challenge for the new week, let's take a look back at last week's challenge.

Last week, the community was challenged to pop Oblivion Walker in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Let's see how we did.

On January 10th, 25,742 gamers (out of 107,827 on-site) had popped the achievement.
"Oblivion Walker" had a base score of 30G and a TA ratio of 2.05, giving it a TA score of 61.

Today, on January 17th, 25,880 gamers (out of 108,326 on-site) have popped the achievement.
The achievement retains it's 2.05 ratio.

Rather than dwell on the sadness of not denting another ratio, let's move on to the NEW challenge. Upward and onward!

Yesterday marked the first day that Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light became the second free "Game with Gold" for the month of January, and it only makes sense to get cracking on its relatively short (and easy) achievement list.

GoL Dec. 28th

Lara Croft and the Guardian of LightReturn to senderThe Return to sender achievement in Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light worth 28 pointsReflect an enemy's projectile back to him using Totec's shield

Thus far, 9,458 gamers (out of 23,368 on-site) have popped the achievement.
"Return to sender" has a base score of 15G and a ratio of 1.56, giving it a TA score of 23.

Gamers, this should be an easy one, but let's turn to the top solution (written by MW2 1995) for some hints:

Ths can be first done on the second level. Find the enemies that shoot magic at you, and hold LB. Time it right, and it will bounce back at the enemy.

P.S.
This can only be achieved in Local/Online Co-Op mode. Player 1 MUST be using Totec. Hold to raise your shield in front of you and face any projectile throwing enemy. The shield will reflect the projectile back towards the direction you’re facing. The projectile has to hit the actual originator for the trophy to register. The earliest opportunity to achieve this is in the Level 2: Temple Grounds against a bunch of Demons that appear early in the stage and throw Light Spheres. Easily done by yourself, controller 2 doesn't need to do anything
There is also a video attached to the solution:

Good Luck!
