Many of you will already have gotten your hands on World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition
. The beta was released in some countries for download on three separate occasions. If you had taken part in the beta during any of these three periods, you will already be able to access the full version of the game. For those that hadn't partaken in the beta, developer Wargaming.net revealed that they would be allowing access to the game for "one new region" before rolling it out to the rest of the world. While we still don't have details on the region to which they were referring, or when this controlled release would be taking place, we can tell you when the game will be rolling out worldwide. You have just over a week to wait.
The game will be free to download and play for Xbox LIVE Gold account members. Those who don't own a Gold account will be able to download a seven day timed trial to give the game a spin. If you feel like taking shortcuts during the journey to the top rank, players have the choice of investing in optional in-game purchases like premium tanks, consumables, experience boosts and boosters that increase the rate that you accrue currency.
More than 100 tanks will be available at the game's launch. Although Japanese tanks have been promised in the future, only the United States, Germany and United Kingdom will be sending their vehicles into battle for now.
