At the start of December, Microsoft confirmed the first ID@Xbox developers
, the studios that would be able to publish their own titles on the Xbox One. Among the list of 33 studios were Team 17 and NinjaBee, neither of which had let out any clues as to what they were planning for the new console. Over the weekend, Microsoft Studios' Corporate Vice President Phil Spencer let the cat out of the bag with hints towards those titles.
After mentioning that a Worms
title would be one of the first games to "ship" under the new scheme, Team 17's Worms Battlegrounds
was confirmed earlier today
. Ninjabee, however, are still keeping quiet over Spencer's confirmation that their "fast-paced acorn chaser" Nutjitsu
would also be one of the first shipping games.
The game has already been released on Windows 8 although it is not LIVE enabled. Players have to work their way through a maze as they try recover the sacred acorns stolen from their clan. A Pac-Man
style chase ensues through the different landscapes as you try to avoid the attention of the evil Kitsune fox samurai guards. Just like in the real world, the foxes can track your steps by scent, so you must keep ahead of them or disappear into the night in a puff of smoke. Your score increases as you recover more acorns, but this also increases the number of guards that appear in the level.

While we don't have a release date for the game, we do know that NinjaBee is hoping to release the game at the same time as they release A World of Keflings
for the Wii U, which is due within the next couple of months. After this, the studio will be starting on a new game. They've developed prototypes for four different titles, all of which represent new IPs. The chances are that not all of these will make it to the end as a finished product, but one of them will definitely be the next title from the developer. Which is your favourite?
Unfortunately, Keflings fans will be disappointed to find that NinjaBee's next game will not be A World of Keflings 2: Kefling Boogaloo
. The team has not abandoned Keflings completely, but you'll just have to wait a while for your next dose of sheep kicking.
