If you're interested in the ability to more easily control your TV and entertainment viewing experience on the Xbox One, then Microsoft may have just the thing for you. Releasing across Xbox One markets worldwide in early March, the Xbox One Media Remote will allow users to control video playback for Blu-ray movies and other video streaming services.
In addition to the Menu and View buttons at the top of the remote, Back and OneGuide buttons are present for further navigational control. The OneGuide button will allow users to quickly access their set-up channels on their OneGuide, allowing for easy access to your favorite movies, TV shows, and other content. The Remote will also be able to control TV/Receiver power and volume through your Kinect sensor. If you look closely, it also appears that there is a touch-sensitive Mute button in between the Volume and Channel controls. The buttons are also backlit, which will light up once you pick up the remote, allowing you to easily see what you're doing in darker rooms.
The Xbox One Media Remote will be available for $24.99 (or regional equivalent) when it releases to stores worldwide.
