Project Spark Almost Here

By Cindy Minguez, 4 years ago
Over the last several months, we've had a ton of information to share with you about Project Spark, a joint project between Dakota and Microsoft Studios. The publishers recently posted a pre-release video showing more details of the system.

Project Spark community manager Mike Lescault, is joined by Team Dakota designer Jared Greiner, in what is (hopefully) one of the final live streams prior to release of the Project Spark Beta on Xbox One. Includes beta updates, new feature news, and community UGC review.

The latest stream is substantial at almost an hour and a half long, but we do see some very interesting player designs revealed.

Most excitingly, the Beta has finally launched for Xbox One! That's right, the Beta is hitting consoles today. To celebrate, the publishers have given us a montage video of player-created games and a few new screenshots.

Project Spark will be available on three different systems: the 360, Win 8, and the One. No official release has been announced, but the game's expected fairly soon with the Beta now out. It's an open Beta, so if you'd like to try it out, go sign up here. If you're creative and have an Xbox One, get in on the game-creating today!
