Last month, Electronic Sports finally confirmed the next instalment in the FIFA franchise, EA SPORTS 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, alongside its release date which is set to precede this summer's World Cup tournament.

There are now less than one hundred days until the action begins and the publisher is celebrating by releasing some new screenshots from the upcoming title. The first set of images showcase several teams, namely Italy, Netherlands, and Mexico in their customary pre-match lineups.

The previous article also explained that the game would feature a Road to the World Cup mode, as well as the opportunity to bask in the honour of captaining your country. The options are evident in the following screenshots:

It is fair to say that the stadia for the tournament have been hitting the global news headlines (for both the right and the wrong reasons in recent months). However, the architecture involved speaks for itself in the next set of screenshots.

Finally, we have two images that show the all-important on-pitch action happening:

EA Sports 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil will be kicking off on the Xbox 360 on April 15th in North America, and April 17th in Europe.
