David Tennant Comes to Kinect Sports Rivals

By Marc Hollinshead, 2 years ago
Kinect Sports Rivals is utilising some pretty nifty technology. Creating a champion based off your own face that goes straight into the game is an exciting concept (luckily it doesn't take your body into account...), but what else is there to be pumped up about? In this latest video, we see actor, David Tennant, lending his voice to the game as the all seeing, all knowing narrator. Having never done work for a video game before, he explains what it was like to enter into new territory. Don't expect to see the TARDIS, though.

Another two videos have also cropped up. In these, we go behind the scenes with the team of Upload and compare the differences between playing the game's sports digitally, and then in real life. I think I'll stick with digitally myself.

Finally, a fourth video from those at Upload has also appeared. This particular video walks us through the rock climbing and how the different perks you acquire help to keep you at that number one spot.

Kinect Sports Rivals launches on April 8th in North America and Australia, and April 11th in Europe.

To summarize Marc in two words, it would be "Christian Gamer." You will usually find him getting stuck into story heavy action-adventure games, RPG's and the odd quirky title when he isn't raving about Dark Souls and Mass Effect. Outside the world of gaming, Marc attends and helps out in his church on a regular basis and has a not-so thrilling job in a supermarket.
