Robotoki, a brand-new development team led by Robert Bowling (formerly involved with Infinity Ward), has announced that Human Element will be its debut project. The new title is expected for release in "late 2015".
Human Element is an ambitious and "innovative open-world survival game, which challenges players to rebuild society in the aftermath 35 years after a zombie apocalypse and adapt as the world evolves based on their actions". Details about the gameplay style and storyline on which Human Element will be built are understandably scarce at present, with the exception of the one important piece of information. Bowling has confirmed that the game will run on the CryEngine, that has previously been used by Crytek for other recent games.
Robert Bowling explains, below, why the decision was made to employ the CryEngine as the game engine for Human Element:
