Source Revealed

With the PAX East conference getting underway from today, a number of developers have decided to lift the curtain on a handful of games. To coincide with the conference, independent games developer, Fenix Fire, has unveiled a game that it is currently developing. Promising to be unlike anything you've ever experienced, they have announced Source.

In Source, you play as a lone firefly set in another dimension. This poor creature is the last of its kind and is residing in a world that is literally being torn apart by a relentless dark force. It is this single creature's destiny to put an end to this threat once and for all so that extinction will cease. The firefly possesses a unique power that can give and receive energy to all living things in a "strange and bio luminescent world", which is sure to help in its mission. As you traverse a Metroid style environment, you will discover new lands and solve many puzzles, as well as face monstrous creatures that will do anything to stop you. You are constantly putting the little firefly at risk and so you must determine how its life-giving energy is gathered, grown and distributed in the world. Your ultimate quest is to discover where the source of this darkness is coming from in hope of ever being able to restore balance and peace to every living thing.

A collection of screenshots for the game have been released, showing off the adventures of this courageous firefly:

Source will be releasing on Xbox One but currently has no release date of any kind. Once that is revealed, we'll let you know.

To summarize Marc in two words, it would be "Christian Gamer." You will usually find him getting stuck into story heavy action-adventure games, RPG's and the odd quirky title when he isn't raving about Dark Souls and Mass Effect. Outside the world of gaming, Marc attends and helps out in his church on a regular basis and has a not-so thrilling job in a supermarket.
