Who remembers the Blue Estate
comic books by Viktor Kalvachev, a series of 12 books published over 2011 and 2012. They followed the story of a "low-rent private eye" who longed to escape from the shadow of his policeman father. After meeting a B-list action star by chance on the streets of Hollywood, the private eye fell into a world of strippers and mobsters as he tried to solve his first case. If you do remember them, you'll likely be pleased with the next bit of news. If you have never heard of them before, now is your chance to become acquainted as developer HESAW has announced a collaboration with publisher Focus Home Interactive to bring Blue Estate
to the Xbox One.
The rail shooter will not put players in the role of the aforementioned private eye. Instead, players will take on the parts of Tony Luciano, a homicidal maniac who is the son of LA's crime boss Don Luciano, and Clarence, an ex-navy seal who is down on his luck and has been hired to clean up the mess that Tony creates. Tony wants to wage war with the Sik Gang and win back his "Helen of Troy", who the gang has kidnapped. Clarence wants to end that war, although it isn't getting any easier.
Although the control system wasn't detailed, the game will be using the motion-sensing powers of Kinect to assist the player as he fights for his life against "the most absurd and dangerous enemies, such as scar covered champions that fight-to-the-death, Tony's own hair and Chihuahuas that are too happy to see you". You will have a variety of weapons to use, but sometimes the power of the gun is not enough. Think before you shoot, take cover, make sure that your weapon has been reloaded and "try not to get turned into grated cheese".
With two protagonists, why not grab a friend and share the workload? In a bid to be the best shooter, each headshot will count towards your tally and will mark down "who's the best trigger in da house!"Blue Estate
is yet to get a release date, but we are promised more information in the coming months.
