Announced as part of Microsoft's ID@Xbox
titles back in March was Wulverblade
. It is being published and developed by Darkwind Media
and is a side-scrolling beat'em up that will take players on an adventure throughout historic Britain.
In 120 AD, the Roman Empire had just seized control of the south part of Brittania. Now, they needed to march northwards so that they could conquer the rest of the island. Players assume the role of Caradoc, a guardian that belongs to the northern tribes that are aiming to stop the Roman Invasion. However, he has a power that he does not know about. Only when his tribes take on the might of the 9th Legion's 5000 men will he realise this gift.
Only a few screenshots were released in the original announcement, but this new trailer shows off cutscene animations, more about the storyline, and the first gameplay as well - all running at 1080p.
A firm release date has not been set for Wulverblade
, but it is expected to hit Xbox One this coming winter.
