Good news for any Xbox One-owning Minecraft
fans - of which there are plenty - that were perhaps worrying that their creations would be lost if they moved to the next-gen. It was confirmed today, by the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, that no such problem will arise. In a Tweet earlier today,
Spencer confirmed that saves from the Xbox 360 version of the game will be transferable to the Xbox One version, with the addition of more news to come. This may include details as to how and when the saves will be transferred.
As someone who has played his fair share of Minecraft
, whilst a feature such as this was perhaps not a necessity, it is most certainly appreciated, particularly in a game such as this, where player creations are a huge part of the fun for a lot of people. The only potential sticking point I can see with this news - and this may well be cleared up later - is whether there will be a limit on the amount of times saves can be transferred.
