Oklahoma City Thunder's small forward and the 2014 Regular Season NBA MVP, Kevin Durant's time has come as he is announced as the cover star of 2K Sports and Visceral Games' next installation of the NBA 2K franchise, NBA 2K15.

NBA 2K15 Cover

Kevin Durant is one hell of a player and has had one hell of a season this year. Realistically, he's had one hell of a career but with finally managing to get his hands around the MVP title this season, his time has indeed come to truly bless the cover of a well-known basketball title. As some of you may remember, KD was the cover star for the eventually cancelled, NBA ELITE 11. He then shared the cover of NBA 2K13 along with LA Clippers' Blake Griffin and Chicago Bulls' Derrick Rose. For NBA 2K15, KD isn't sharing the cover with anyone!

Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder are currently doing battle against the Los Angeles Clippers in the semi-finals of the 2014 NBA Playoffs. KD hasn't won a championship yet in his career but is happy with 'winning' the selection of cover star for the upcoming title:

I'm honored to be selected for the cover of NBA 2K. I've been an avid fan and player of NBA 2K since I was a kid, and being selected as the sole cover athlete of NBA 2K15 is an amazing accomplishment at this point of my life. I feel like my time has come.
NBA 2K15 is scheduled for an Xbox One and Xbox 360 release on October 7th, 2014 for North America and October 10th for other regions.
