A couple of days ago, several new screens emerged
from the upcoming Titanfall
DLC, "Expedition". If you check out those screens, you'll note the bottom two are from a map we didn't have much detail on yet, Swampland. Well, that all changed today.
Originally conceived in 2011, the Swampland map has been kicking around in development since Titanfall
's origin. The initial concept for Swampland, as Chris Dionne, Designer, posted
, was a flat map with trees and fog. As the game evolved, however, it was clear that a map of that nature would not fit the frenetic action that Titanfall
The team revisited the map for the "Expedition" DLC. It has been crafted to showcase themes central to Titanfall
, namely "nature and its intersection with technology." While there are three buildings around the map's outer periphery, the star of this show will likely be the dense forest that occupies the map's center. Not only will this lead to battles where Titans are weaving their way in and out of the forestation, but it will also allow for pilots to leap, ninja-like, from tree to tree.

The "Expedition" Map Pack for Titanfall, which is detailed here
, is still set for a May release. "Expedition" will not only include Swampland, but War Games
as well. You can purchase it for $9.99 (or your regional equivalent) or buy the "Season Pass" for $24.99. In addition to the "Expedition" Map Pack, the Season Pass is set to include two other not-yet-detailed content packs.
