Let's Talk with NecromancyQueen

By Cindy Minguez, 4 years ago
Hello, everyone! This week, our special guest is NecromancyQueen, an avid lady gamer who shares a passion for gaming with her husband. Join me in saying hello. Welcome, NecromancyQueen!

B1ue: First, tell us about your gamertag.

I wanted to find a gamertag that was 100% unique and that sounded kinda dark and twisted. What's darker than the art of raising the dead? Also, Lord Azroth is my husband's gamertag, so I decided to go with queen in order for both of our gamertags to represent royalty.

B1ue: How long have you been gaming?

I've been gaming for almost three years.

B1ue: Do others in your family game, or are you a first-generation gamer?

One of my older brothers is mentally disabled, and his passion is gaming. He has been playing games since as far back as I can remember.

B1ue: What do your family members have to say about your gaming?

My parents like to tease me about it, but they really don't seem to care. My husband absolutely loves that I play games; in fact, he was the one who unleashed the gaming monster in me. lol.

B1ue: Couples that game together stay together, right? :)

What kind of work do you do?

I take care of special needs/mentally disabled adults. I go out to their homes and help them with household tasks. Several of the clients have jobs in the community and things like that. I'm just there to make their lives a little easier. It's a very rewarding job, and I love it.

B1ue: My older sister is mentally disabled, as well. I very much appreciate people like you who really care.

What other hobbies do you enjoy?

Other than work and playing games, there isn't much else I have time for although I do enjoy cooking, watching movies, and reading.

B1ue: Tell us about your home life.

My husband and I have moved back in with my mom, step-dad, and my brother (who I mentioned before) to help save money. We are currently looking for a better place to live, hopefully one that is closer to our jobs. I have two beautiful little girls... (Chihuahuas, but don't tell them that; they think their human). They are spoiled rotten, and I don't know what my husband and I would do without them.

This is Baby.

This is Candi and me.

B1ue: They're so cute! Those look like some happy pups. :)

Of what real-life achievement are you most proud? Would you give us some details?

Some people might find this sad, but my greatest real-life achievement is marrying my husband. I was really down on life, and then I met him, and suddenly everything fell into place. We had only known each other for six weeks when we ran off to the courthouse... People thought we were crazy, but three years later, we're still going strong.

B1ue: That's wonderful. Congratulations. toast

What’s your favorite game of all time on any console? What makes it special?

I would have to say that my favorite game of all time is Saints Row 2 . I spent so many hours playing that with my husband. When playing it, I truly felt like some badass gangster. :) Running around wearing crazy outfits, flying helicopters and planes into each other, it was just endless fun.

B1ue: Do you remember the first game you played? What’s your fondest memory of it?

Well, I played a few games with my older brothers growing up, but I don't really remember what they were. I do, however, remember my first Xbox 360 game... It was Halo: Reach . It wasn't really the game for me, and I got bored with it really quickly. I truly got into gaming the first time I saw my husband play Dead Island (Xbox 360) ... I'm a zombie fanatic, and it was right up my alley. My fondest memory of playing Dead Island was actually at the beginning of the game when you have to go through the hotel. I was such a n00b. I was so terrified as I slowly crept down the hallways.

B1ue: If some evil spell allowed you to own only a single game for the rest of your life, what would it be? Why?

I would have to choose The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim . I would choose Skyrim just simply because it has more replay value than all the other games I've played.

B1ue: I love, love that game.

What part of the world do you live in? If I were to visit, what sights would I have to see?

I live an hour away from the east side of Cincinnati, Ohio. There are plenty of attractions there like a theme-park, a water-park, the zoo, a few new casinos, and a horse racing track.

B1ue: Any games you regret putting on your gamertag?

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End ... I don't care what anyone says; that games just flat out blows.

B1ue: If you were forced to change your gamertag, what would you change it to? What would the new tag reflect about you?

If I were to change my gamertag, I would probably change it to Adnama Eliag. That's my first and middle name spelled backwards, and it's also the name I choose for most of my characters in rpgs.

B1ue: Tell us about your gamer pic. Why did you choose that one?

For some reason, my gamer pic doesn't actually show up on TA... It's a pic of my avatar doing a random pose.

B1ue: That's a simple fix. Go to the pull-down menu under your gamer pic and tell it to update. You may have to refresh it over the next day or two, but hat should do it.

Do you have any particular gaming pet peeves?

My gaming pet peeve would have to be the way that developers over-hype their games. Let's face it, if every game lived up to it's hype, we would have non-stop Game of the Years with no flaws, bugs, or glitches.

B1ue: What upcoming game are you most looking forward to?

I'm looking forward to playing https://www.trueachievements.com/The-Elder-Scrolls-Onli....htm ... Even though I am VERY disappointed about the delay.

B1ue: If it's like other games in the series though, I bet it will be worth the wait. Here's hoping anyway.

What game are you most proud of completing? Why?

I'm most proud of completing Fallout 3 because of how long it took me to actually max it. I only had one achievement left for over a year...
Fallout 3Paradigm of HumanityThe Paradigm of Humanity achievement in Fallout 3 worth 62 pointsReached Level 20 with Neutral Karma

I had so many levels to grind through, and I actually finished it out on Expert.

B1ue: What single Xbox achievement are you most proud of? Why?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3The Best of the BestThe The Best of the Best achievement in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 worth 168 pointsComplete the campaign on Hardened or Veteran difficulty.

It was the first game where I finished the campaign on the hardest difficulty.

B1ue: In a slightly different vein, do you have a favorite achievement? One perhaps that you just really enjoyed attaining?

My favorite achievement would have to be
Red Dead RedemptionSecret AchievementThe Secret Achievement achievement in Red Dead Redemption worth 8 pointsContinue playing to unlock this secret achievement

... just because it was such a funny achievement.

B1ue: If you found yourself dropped into a video game, which video game character would you most want to have your back?

I would pick Garrus Vakarian from Mass Effect. I would pick him because he's a hero, but he also has a dark side. I know that in any situation, he would be there to snipe the crap out of everyone.

B1ue: What a great choice. I love Garrus! He's my lady Shepard's love interest and just plain manly...and what a great voice.

In the same scenario, what character/creature would you most/least like to see headed your way?

I would least like to see a Creeper headed my way because, regardless of the situation, something bad is bound to happen.

B1ue: Any characters you would like seen thrown into video game hell?

There isn't any character that I can think of to throw in video game hell. I think all characters have a purpose regardless of who they are.

B1ue: Ever had any bad experiences online? How did you handle it?

I think all gamers have had at least one bad experience online at some point or another. As a female gamer, I've had plenty of run-ins with trash talkers and a lot of sexist pigs. My advice for any other gamer out there is to do what I do... just ignore it. Not paying attention to what they say just ticks them off, and in the end, you win.

B1ue: Do you prefer single player or multi-player?

I prefer single player more due to the rich story, and you don't have to deal with anyone's whining or complaining.

B1ue: Do you have a favorite group of friends you like to play with? If so, how did you meet?

Yes, I do... But they are people I actually knew before I started gaming.

B1ue: If you could have a multiplayer session with anyone in the world, whom would you choose? Why?

If I could chose anyone in the world, I would have to pick Bill Gates. I would choose him because if it weren't for him, Microsoft would not exist and therefore neither would my Xbox One.

B1ue: What other consoles do you own? What are your favorites on those platforms?

I no longer own any other console except my Xbox One. We recently sold everything else to help purchase my and my husband's Xbox Ones.

B1ue: Have you ever had a game you really looked forward to that you were disappointed in when it finally arrived? Tell us about it.

Yeah, I was really pumped about Dishonored. But when it finally came out, it just didn't live up to my expectations. Don't get me wrong, it was a good game. I just hated the fact that once you completed the game, when you repeated levels, you didn't get to take all your upgrades and everything with you.

B1ue: Tell us about your gaming set-up.

My gaming set up isn't much... My TV and Xbox One. :) That's all I really need.

B1ue: How do you use TA? Tracking, walkthroughs, solutions, sessions?

I mostly use it for walkthroughs and tracking.

B1ue: Do you ever contribute solutions?

No, I haven't contributed a solution... Yet.

B1ue: How has your gaming changed or evolved since coming to TA?

My completion percentage has increased slightly, and I'm able to grind through certain games faster.

B1ue: What do you like and dislike most about the site?

I really like that there are multiple guides for achievements where as on other sites they only have one. What I dislike most about the site is actually the app for the site... I can download it on my tablet, but it's always stuck on the sign in page.

B1ue: You might want to mention that on the forums, so it can be checked into.

How did you learn about TA? Have you signed up any friends to the website?

I found it one day when I was googling game walkthroughs. Yeah, I got my husband to sign up and also a few friends.

B1ue: Have you made friends here?

No, I haven't really made friends on TA.

B1ue: If you have a pro account, what’s the most number of forced scans you’ve done in a day?

Currently at this time, I do not have a pro account.

B1ue: If you could have a game handcrafted just for you, what would your perfect game be?

If I could have a game handcrafted for me... My perfect game would be a Sims-style game that gave you limitless freedom, where you could be even a serial killer if you so choose.

Is there anything you’d like to see added to TA’s functionality?

NQ: No, I think TA is fully functional for what I use it for.

B1ue: Why do you choose TA over other gaming sites?

I choose TA because it's the best site I've found for walkthroughs, and it has a great community.

B1ue: Do you have a “claim to fame” in gaming? If so, what is it?

No, I've never really had a claim to fame, but now I have an interview on TA for everyone to see. Lol. :)

B1ue: Is there anything in particular you want the TA community to know about you?

: No, there isn't really anything I can think of.

B1ue: Is there anything I haven’t asked that you want to talk about?

Not really, I think we've just about covered it all. Although, I would like to thank you for the interview!

B1ue: You're so very welcome. Thanks for being such a great interviewee! :)

Any shout-outs you want to make before we go?

Yes, of course... My amazing husband, Lord Azroth. ;)

Also, I would like to give a shout-out to my cousin, who has just started gaming again... Mortalis Mortis.

Just a friendly reminder that I am currently not taking applications for the Community Interview because of the huge waiting list I already have. When I work down some of the back log, I'll let you know. ~B1ue
