Lips Servers Have Been Decommissioned

The string of server closures and delistings is apparently still going strong and, as such, I'm afraid we've got another bit of bad news.

Sadly, the servers for Microsoft's Lips have been taken offline. A notice was posted to the Forums explaining the impact this has on the game:

- Customers attempting to use the online features of Lips titles on the Xbox 360 console over Xbox Live will receive a connection error.
- All offline elements of Lips titles on the Xbox 360 console that do not require Xbox Live will continue to function normally.
Unfortunately, four achievements are affected by the server closure, and are no longer obtainable. All of them are related to challenges, and two are in the core game list while another two are part of the Number One Hits Expansion Disc.

LipsYou've Got TalentThe You've Got Talent achievement in Lips worth 33 pointsEarn a Bronze Cup or better on 1 song

LipsLegendary PerformerThe Legendary Performer achievement in Lips worth 112 pointsEarn a Bronze Cup or better on 20 songs

LipsFight for the first timeThe Fight for the first time achievement in Lips worth 10 pointsSent a song challenge to a friend for the first time

LipsDefending ChampionThe Defending Champion achievement in Lips worth 125 pointsGot 20 challenge wins

The remaining 66 achievements can all be earned offline, and are thus unaffected by the closure.
