Defiance Free-to-Play Delayed

By Marc Hollinshead, 4 years ago
Early in June, Trion Worlds announced that their MMO Defiance would arrive in its free-to-play form on July 15th. Has anyone noticed that's today? Yet there's no word of the game being free yet. Although the game was targeted for a free-to-play release today, the developers have decided to postpone it to ensure a stable launch.

To coincide with the crossover to Season 2 of the Defiance TV show, the game's latest build has been negatively impacted by the overall stability. Programmers are currently at work on addressing this issue so that the game can get back on track as quickly as possible. The devs assure us that this is a priority fix because of their eagerness to see fans and newcomers alike jumping into the Defiance experience. In the meantime, Trion Worlds thank us for our patience and will be giving us any updates on the situation as they appear for the free-to-play console release.

To summarize Marc in two words, it would be "Christian Gamer." You will usually find him getting stuck into story heavy action-adventure games, RPG's and the odd quirky title when he isn't raving about Dark Souls and Mass Effect. Outside the world of gaming, Marc attends and helps out in his church on a regular basis and has a not-so thrilling job in a supermarket.
