The Evil Within
- the latest game from Resident Evil
creator Shinji Mikami - has been no stranger to a release date change during development. However, unlike the previous change, which was a sizeable delay
, this time the release date is moving forward.
Revealed at QuakeCon
, the release date for The Evil Within
has been moved forward to the 14th October in North America (16th in Australia, 17th in Europe), putting it directly up against Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
and Vendetta: Curse of Raven's Cry
, although they now avoid clashing with the likes of Battlefield Hardline
in what is swiftly becoming a packed October for video games.
While this news is good for those who want to get stuck in to The Evil Within
, I can't help but feel a little twinge of disappointment. You've made a horror game, it's coming out in October, surely the perfect release date is Hallowe'en!
