Most of those who play the Call of Duty
games do so for the multiplayer over the story campaign. However, for that minority who prefer the single player experience, further details of the story are always openly welcomed. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
boosted its star power when the reveal trailer
unveiled that Kevin Spacey would be cast as one of the main characters, but we haven't seen much more about him since. With today's new trailer, which focuses on the campaign, a better look at what Advanced Warfare
will be all about, and what Spacey's role in all of it will be, was shown off.
Spacey's character is the head of Atlas, a private military company, which is called upon by the United States after a global terrorist attack left the government and military in ruins. Atlas obviously ascends to a higher role, as the trailer remarks that "they fought our wars, they re-built our cities," and later Spacey's character insists that Atlas does not need the approval of Congress. You can obviously see the direction this plot is heading in.
For that aforementioned majority of players who come to Call of Duty
for the multiplayer, a surprise sneak peak of Advanced Warfare
's multiplayer is at the end of the trailer. Along with the short look is the announcement that the multiplayer worldwide premiere is set for August 11th. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
is set for release on November 4th worldwide for both the Xbox One and Xbox 360.
