Perfect World Entertainment Inc. has announced that Cryptic Studios will be bringing Neverwinter (HK) to the Xbox One as a timed exclusive in the first half of 2015.

Available to Xbox Live Gold members, Neverwinter is a free to play action MMORPG set in the Dungeons and Dragons Forgotten Realms universe. In the game, players explore the vast city of Neverwinter and its surrounding countryside, all while learning the deep lore that is Dungeons and Dragons as well as battling enemies aplenty. Originally released on June 20th, 2013 for PC, Neverwinter has been received with generally favorable reviews; Perfect World is excited to be bringing their popular MMO to consoles. Alan Chen, CEO of Perfect World, had this to say:

Consoles are a perfect fit for action-oriented MMORPGs like Neverwinter, and we are thrilled to be one of the first publishers to bring premium free-to-play titles to leading next-gen platforms. Being able to bring Neverwinter to the Xbox One is a critical achievement for Perfect World. It is our first step taking our games beyond the PC market.
While Neverwinter releases on Xbox One worldwide in the first half of 2015, Chinese players will be able to play the game later this year when the Xbox One launches on September 23rd.
