As eager Assassin's Creed
fans await the release of the next instalment in the franchise that is Assassin's Creed Unity
, Ubisoft, the developers behind the title, continue to release more impressive screens and trailers for the fans to feast their eyes on. In this fresh bucket load of media, we are introduced to a new character, courtesy of Arno and his agile manoeuvres and deadly fighting skills.
Before we dive into some brief details of the new character, let's see what exactly Arno is in a rush for in the new video as he speeds through a crazy and chaotic Paris towards our introduction with Elise:
As an independent young noblewoman, Elise is determined to secure her place in the Templar dynasty amidst the chaos of the French Revolution. Her quest leads her to cross paths with Arno and establish an unlikely bond with him.
Thousands of heads have been separated from their bodies thanks to the horror that is the Guillotine. No one is ever safe. It doesn't matter if you're a man or woman, a priest or a beggar. If your head is to be gone, then you're a dead human walking. What makes Elise such an important person to save? The passionate Assassin's Creed
fans will be able to find out plenty of new information on the newly revealed character Elise with the aid of a novel by author Oliver Bowden, based on the upcoming title.
This new paperback from Penguin Random House builds on Bowden’s past Assassin’s novels – with 3 million copies sold to date - and examines an era when the divide between the rich and poor is at its most extreme, and a nation is tearing itself apart. Told from Elise’s perspective, the book follows her and Arno as they are drawn into the centuries-old battle between the Assassins and the Templars – a world with dangers more deadly than they could ever have imagined - and fight to avenge all they have lost.
If you really can't get enough of Elise, than the newly announced "high quality figurine" designed by Ubicollectibles will be right up your street. The "Elise: The Fiery Templar" has Elise ready to take her target down as she has her gun poised and sword equipped at her side ready for potential close-range combat. The figurine can be put together into a "diorama" with the previously detailed
"Arno: The Fearless Assassin" figurine. Those looking to make a purchase
of the female figurine will also find digital content included for the title.
Here's some images showcasing the figurine in action:Assassin's Creed Unity

In another round of screens, we have all of this and then some as various characters run, jump, climb, and fight their way through the mean, historic, deadly streets of Paris.
A couple of weeks ago, we checked out an animated short
from filmmaker and musician Rob Zombie, and Walking Dead
co-creator Tony Moore. Ubiblog's own Anne Lewis caught up with Tony Moore at the recent SDCC 2014 for a quick interview. Tony speaks on working with Mr Zombie and the mouth-watering taste of blood, gore, and action he got to sink his teeth into during the creation of the animated video:
Staying within the sweet realm of the San Diego Comic Con 2014, another Ubiblog team member, this time Gary Steinman, manages to snag a bit of time with the game's creative director, Alex Amancio. The guys speak about the setting and the story behind the upcoming instalment, including why the time and location were so important.
