Forza Motorsport 5 New DLC Announced

Earlier at Gamescom today, Dan Greenawalt revealed that there would be a new DLC pack for the hugely successful racing title, Forza Motorsport 5. Unlike any of the previous packs, this new DLC has a couple of cars that have never been included in any racing title.

Firstly, the pack will include the first Formula E racing car ever included in any franchise, the 2014 Renault Spark SRT_01E, representing the first of the next generation of electric racing cars. In stark comparison, the pack also includes a 2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith which is the first time a Roller has ever been included in a racing title. Alongside these, the pack includes two Infiniti variants and next year's Ford Mustang GT. Wrapping the bundle up is a modest little car, the 2013 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 Tech Line Top Gear Edition which is the latest "reasonably-priced car" raced by celebrities around the BBC's Top Gear Track.

Although not mentioned in the actual presentation, Turn 10 Studios also revealed later via the official website that there would be a number of improvements for the current Thrustmaster and MadCatz steering wheels that are available for the Xbox One and Forza Motorsport 5. The improvements aim to increase the feel and the performance of both these wheels during the game.

Finally, in celebration and recognition of the Renault Spark being included, Turn 10 Studios has a new rivals event starting today. Racing the Formula E car on Long Beach East Circuit, the fastest overall time will win VIP tickets to the Formula E championship race in Berlin, Germany on May 30th, 2015. The official website has all the official terms and conditions.

The August update weighs in at 343 MB and is available now for free.
