In news that will surely be hailed as a great win for console owners, Double Eleven and Coffee Stain Studios announced during Gamescom 2014
that they will be bringing the zany Goat Simulator
to the Xbox One via the ID@Xbox program.
For those who have not heard of this title before, this game has the player controlling a lone goat in an open world environment, but gives them absolutely no big-picture goal besides wreaking havoc and causing mayhem in order to rack up points. Currently available on PC via the Steam platform, the developers hope that this Xbox One edition will have gamers falling in love with the insane antics that only a goat can get involved in. They have also promised that they will be porting the game with all hilarious bugs completely intact (except, of course, the not-so-fun crashing style bugs).
Double Eleven CEO Lee Hutchinson has said "We're delighted to be working with Coffee Stain. They've created something truly enjoyable and completely disruptive; we want to bring that to Xbox One." In response, Coffee Stain Studios CEO Anton Westbergh says "Getting on Xbox One with the help of Double Eleven is really exciting. Everyone deserves a chance to goat around, and this is one step in the right direction!"Goat Simulator
has no known release date as yet.
