Creating an improved overall hockey atmosphere in NHL 15
seems to have been one of the primary concerns of the EA SPORTS team, and the newest gameplay video demonstrates that entirely. For instance, one of the bigger announcements made when the game was revealed
, was that Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick and Eddie Olczyk would be taking over the reins of the commentary team. To go along with the new duo taking over, the entire presentation of each game has been transformed to look like a real-world NHL on NBC broadcast, which even includes the two commentators green-screened into the game, with NHL 15
progressing in the background.
In this newest trailer, elements of the NHL on NBC broadcast, the new commentary of Emrick and Olczyk, and the overhead camera views are shown off.
The video shows off the all new Dynamic Low, Medium, and High camera angles at different intervals, but many of the other features we have learned about in the past are on display as well. On the ice, players react differently to one another, whether during a goal celebration or other incidents, and the layering system
is present with free-flowing jerseys. In the stands, the crowd looks more lively and diverse than in prior games, with individual people expressing their own personalities, rather than a group of fans all having an identical reaction. NHL 15
is set to release on September 9th in North America, and September 12th in Europe for the Xbox One and Xbox 360.
