Microsoft Studios has confirmed that the demo for Playground Games' upcoming Forza Horizon 2 will be hitting the Xbox One on September 16th. That's a whole 14 days before the game is officially released on September 30th for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 (the latter of which is developed by Sumo Digital). The demo will allow players to sample a small number of cars on the roads of South Europe, which just might include the streets of France and Italy.
Forza Horizon 2 is the sequel to the 2012 hit Forza Horizon. As a less rigid open-world spinoff of Turn 10's Forza Motorsport series, the Forza Horizon series already has a strong start - it won the "Best Racing" medal in TrueAchievements' Game of the Year awards for 2012.
If September 16th cannot come soon enough, be sure to check out some of the cars here and here that will appear. Forza Horizon 2 also featured as a topic in TrueAchievements' August podcast, when Beanpotter and TrueAchievement himself attended the recent Gamescom event.
