Team Meat have announced today that their hilarious and bizarre platformer Super Meat Boy
is coming to the Xbox Live Arcade on October 20th. The game will be the "main course" of Microsoft's upcoming The Game Feast XBLA promotion - which will be similar to the Summer of Arcade by the sounds of it.
The game has been described by OXM as "the weirdest game to hit these page's in the Xbox 360's history," and the plot synopsis on the official site confirms that notion:
Super Meat Boy is a game where you play as a boy without skin whos girlfriend who is made of bandages gets kidnapped by a fetus in a tuxedo wearing a top hat and a monocle.
Super Meat Boy features platforming madness spanning over 300 levels of saws, disease, fire, lasers, missiles, and various other traps that Meat Boy must avoid to rescue is lady love.
For those unfamiliar with a game, here's a meaty gameplay trailer (in both senses of the word) that the devs released a while back:
Like the big teases they are, Team Meat have said that there's more info about the game yet to be revealed, stating that their "real big unveil will be a feature we have been keeping very tight lipped about that is sure to win over even the most jaded internet trolls (*hint hint*)."
No price has been announced for the game yet.
