New screens and details have emerged (via Gematsu
) for game developer, Koei Tecmo's, upcoming real time strategy title, Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War & Nightmare
. Released back in 2007 for the Xbox 360, Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War
will be receiving a remake as Koei looks to take the huge battles into the next generation of gaming.
There will plenty of troops to control, including "manipulating up to four units and 200 soldiers" in order to make short work of the enemy. If battling against regular style enemies isn't enough for you, the game's new "Nightmare" mode will spice up the fighting a bit, as you and your massive army will square off against fantasy creatures such as "goblins, cyclops, and dragons". Once you have had enough of slaughtering the nasty creatures, why not switch roles and take control of them instead? Customise your character in the new character edit section, and get him or her looking at their best as you square off against opposing players in the newly added multiplayer.
Check out the sweet variety of screens that showcase the many huge battles to come, the game's revamped HUD, huge creatures, and plenty more:Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War & Nightmare
is currently set for a release on the Xbox One in Japan "later this year".
