Today, Rockstar Games announced that players will be able to return to Los Santos and Blaine County on November 18th on the Xbox One. Originally announced all the way back at this year's E3, Rockstar revealed that Grand Theft Auto V
, which was a huge success on last-gen consoles, would be making its way to the Xbox One, along with new enhancements and features.
Aside from receiving major visual and technical upgrades, increased draw distances, and higher resolutions, the upgraded version of Grand Theft Auto V
will see additions such as new activities, weapons, and vehicles. The streets will be more congested than ever with denser traffic, and off-roading expeditions will reveal the new foliage system and additional wildlife. Enhanced damage and weather conditions will also be present. Over 100 additional new songs have been added to radio playlists to listen to while cruising around.
As already revealed in the past, players will be able to transfer
their characters and progression from the last-gen consoles to their choice of PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC. Grand Theft Auto Online
is receiving a player count boost with up to 30 players now able to play in a server. All existing gameplay updates and Rockstar-created content will be transferred over, with more to come in the future.
For returning players from the last-gen version of the game, Rockstar has included some exclusive content. Rare versions of classic vehicles to collect such as the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp, new activities including wildlife photography and shooting range challenges, and new weapons have been detailed so far with more on the way. For players to take advantage of the exclusive content, the Prologue of the previous version of the game must have been completed, and players must have a Rockstar Games Social Club account and a current Xbox Live account.
Also for those who choose to pre-order the game, you will receive $1,000,000 in-game cash to spend across both Grand Theft Auto V
and Grand Theft Auto Online
To close out all of this new information, a new trailer for the game has been released.
