RIDE Announced

Speed, the roar of an engine, particles charged with energy and fuelled with adrenaline combine to forge a new form of life, a primordial atomic element, and the first stirrings of a revolution that will alter the concept of 'motorcycle videogames' forever. These are just some of the things that describe the upcoming racing title from Milestone S.r.l known as RIDE.

With this new IP, Milestone plan on bringing a bunch of new ideas to the table. One of these ideas consists of over 100 bikes, in 4 different categories - Superbikes, Supersports, Naked, and Historical Bikes. These bikes will be able to zoom through a variety of different city, country and historic tracks from the world of motorcycling and you'll be given the chance to customise your rider and your bike. To keep gameplay fresh, players will be presented with many options to create a long term experience to accompany them on the road.

Marco Micallef, Director of Marketing and Sales for the game had this to say about the title:

It is with great pleasure that we are able to publically announce our first proprietary IP: RIDE. Milestone has worked hard over the last few years to get to the position we are in today, where we can compete with the major companies in the international gaming scene on an equal footing. This was made possible with the help of the licensed games we develop and distribute worldwide. After more than 15 years of hard work, we felt the need to develop something that would bring together all our expertise and encapsulate the Milestone DNA with respect to the world of motorcycling.

As always throughout the history of the company, we have analysed what our international community of players have been asking us for and carried out internal research to find out how we could satisfy their demands in full. With RIDE, we're confident that players and motorcycle enthusiasts the world over will feel the irresistible urge, pad clutched in hands, perched on the edge of the sofa, to physically lean into those corners as they speed along the tracks.
A short teaser trailer for the game has also appeared. It doesn't give us much info, but we know it's coming.

RIDE will be coming to both Xbox 360 and Xbox One in Spring 2015.

To summarize Marc in two words, it would be "Christian Gamer." You will usually find him getting stuck into story heavy action-adventure games, RPG's and the odd quirky title when he isn't raving about Dark Souls and Mass Effect. Outside the world of gaming, Marc attends and helps out in his church on a regular basis and has a not-so thrilling job in a supermarket.
