Ubisoft has revealed details about what will be included in Assassin's Creed Unity
's Season Pass, and there are a few interesting surprises among the bunch. Aside from new missions, items, and weapons which portray to Unity
, there is a new story campaign called "Dead Kings", and a new standalone experience, Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China
New Missions, Items, and Weapons
The Season Pass will expand on the overall experience in Paris. Three brand new missions - The American Prisoner, Killed by Science, and The Chemical Revolution will give you more story to explore. There will also be over 30 new items ranging from items, to outfits, to weapons to allow you to create the perfect loadout for the type of assassin you want to be. Some of the weapons shown in the trailer include the People's Bardiche, the Fleur de Lys Sword, and The Lion's Sabre. "Dead Kings" is a new set of self-contained story missions which take place after the events of Unity
. Arno leaves Paris for Saint Denis, which is a troubled city with a mysterious and extensive underground that holds the crypts of deceased French kings. Players will explore the murky depths of the Basilica in what Creative Director Alex Amancio describes as the "darkest story that we've ever told." In "Dead Kings," Arno will battle a new group of foes, the Raiders, who are desecrating the catacombs for unknown reasons. Aside from the main story missions, there will be other open-world activities such as treasure hunts, murder mysteries, contracts, and new co-op missions. New weapons, such as the Guillotine gun, outfits, gear, skills, etc can be carried back over to the main game.Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China
What is said to have begun as just a "simple sketch" has turned into its own project known as Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China
. This new standalone Assassin's Creed
experience will bring players a new story, setting, and an entirely different gameplay type. The game is a 2.5D reimagining of the franchise, transporting players to 16th Century China. Shao Jun is the last remaining Assassin of the Chinese Brotherhood, and is returning to her homeland to avenge her fallen brotherhood. She also happens to have been trained by this guy Ezio Auditore who you may have heard of before. All of this takes place with a unique and vibrant art style which is an interesting new twist for the franchise. Players who buy the Season Pass will receive this standalone experience as a digital download.
Stepping away from all of the Season Pass news for a moment, another new trailer for Unity
has also been released, which touches on the variety of ways a player can go about completing the different missions in the game.
Those who purchase the Season Pass will gain access to all of the aforementioned content, which will all be released by early 2015. Assassin's Creed Unity
will release for the Xbox One on November 11th in North America, and November 13th in Europe and Australia. Meanwhile, Xbox 360 owners can get their hands on Assassin's Creed Rogue
on November 11th as well.
