A Game Informer
exclusive shows off some interesting looking screens from the forthcoming BioShock Infinite
. The October edition of the publication has an exclusive insight into the world of Columbia as revealed recently by the cover image the magazine will sport.
I'm glad to see the wonderful Art Deco style has been retained for the bold new direction in the BioShock series. Looking at the screenshots we can see that this is something the game also retains through the presence of billboards and the kinds of colours and fonts used in game.
So on to the screenshots for our first peek at the environments through the eyes of gameplay stills.
I'm not ashamed to admit that I loved BioShock
, and even though it was to a lesser extent, I found BioShock 2
quite the enjoyable rollercoaster too, though with fewer twists and turns along the way. Whilst I desperately want to love BioShock Infinite
(especially with the format returning to it's original creator) these screenshots leave me wanting a little in some areas. The palette seems a little bright to my eye for example.
What's your take on the above?
