Magic DOTP 2015 Announces Upcoming DLC

By Megan Walton, 2 years ago
Magic 2015 - Duels of the Planeswalkers has been out for more than a few months now, and Wizards of the Coast thought that a perfect time to announce an upcoming expansion pack. "Garruk's Revenge" will be featuring new cards and challenges for players to get to grips with, and we're promised that it will please both old and new Magic players alike! So, what exactly can you be expecting from this upcoming DLC? "Garruk's Revenge" will feature four campaign levels and an expanded explore level for players to tackle. You will be taking on the role of Garruk, and using his deck to overcome your opponents, unlocking Alara cards to then improve your own deck later on.

Accompanying this expansion is the announcement that now all cards from both the original Magic 2015 campaign, Hunt Bigger Game and the Expansion are now obtainable through gameplay alone, as opposed to having to purchase these through micro-transactions.

With the release of this expansion, players who have unlocked access to the game's five initial chapters (Innistrad, Theros, Ravnica, Zendikar, and Shandalar) now have the opportunity to earn Battle Boosters (previously called Premium Boosters) by winning multiplayer matches.
This is good news all round for players who want more content, and be able to earn the cards rather than buy them! "Garruk's Revenge" will be coming to Magic 2015: Duels of the Planeswalkers on PC next month, but unfortunatly there is no release date for Xbox One and Xbox 360 yet. We are promised it is will be available "shortly thereafter", so keep your eyes peeled and we'll keep you updated!
