XBL Content Roundup: November 4th & 5th, 2014

By Rebecca Smith,
We'll start today's roundup with the sad news of yet another Xbox LIVE Arcade delisting. The latest victim is Mensa Academy, known as American Mensa Academy in North America. We're not entirely sure why the title has been delisted, but if we hear more then we'll be sure to let you know.

Xbox One Games

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, previously available for pre-order and pre-loading, has been released worldwide, although I bet that you already knew that. There is also a worldwide release of a complete edition of Ryse: Son of Rome, plus a surprise appearance from a title that was released on XBLA four months previously.

The Xbox 360 portal will not work on the Xbox One, so you need to buy a portal to be able to play the game on the Xbox One. This makes a digital release a bit pointless seeing as the portals aren't available for separate purchase.

Actually the bundle has been out since the game has been out. Its how many people have the

as one of their first achievements

What I don't recognize is the bundle including whatever the Battle Booster Collections is and the 300 Foil Stickers.

While the previous bundle was $20 for all 5 collections.. this one is $25 for 6 parts... but if anyone bought the $20 version, they'll notice it says to Download Again as opposed to buying it again for $25.

....edit: that being said, I don't think redownloading it is letting me get 300 Foil Stickers. Looks like I'm SOL laugh

The Card Collection Bundle wasn't available for purchase on the marketplace until today (this is the one that I think that you're saying you don't recognise and is the only bundle on the marketplace), but the individual Collection Unlocks were. That's how they got the achievement. You can see a full list of DLC that was released with the game here.

The Battle Boosters are not available for separate purchase on the Xbox 360. Since I last posted, a press release has appeared stating that the expansion DLC will be "coming soon" on the Xbox 360, but I don't have any more information. I don't know about the separate Battle Boosters pack.

I snipped out a lot of what I was going to type out.

I suppose its my fault for showing bewilderment at this "newly released" bundle in the previous post above but it looks to be updated and $5 more expensive but not a new bundle.

"but the individual Collection Unlocks were. That's how they got the achievement"

Have you played the game before? I could almost imagine you might not know the Premium Booster packs (currently purchase only until expansion/patch) even exist in the game if you haven't.

Its entirely possible the Card Collection Bundle was originally an in-game only purchase but that would still be a product bought on xbox live on their marketplace.

If anything, there should be more cards to buy and this should just be MTGO: Console Edition.
