There's more than a mountain's worth of content set to be crammed into the cases (or gigabytes) of game developer Team Ninja's Dead or Alive 5 Last Round
. The upcoming edition of the title will include all of the content from Dead or Alive 5
and Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate
. Gamers can expect to see a pretty well-filled roster of fighters
from which to choose their favourites, but if there's one man who is highly likely to ruin your much-loved fighter's day, it's got to be this guy:
For those not too familiar, Raidou, is the final boss from the original Dead or Alive
. Raidou will be a playable character in the upcoming title and a formidable opponent as he looks to satisfy his thirst for power. Thought to be dead after facing defeat in the "original DOA Tournament", the boss man makes a surprising return after being partially pieced back together with the aid of cybernetics. Although the cybernetics make Raidou literally come across as a killing machine, the upgrades have caused memory loss for the fighter. All that remains in this mechanical muscles brain is the need for power. Raidou will do whatever it takes to become victorious no matter how harsh his methods may seem.
Hailing from the same ninja clan as Kasumi and Hayate, Raidou was exiled from his own village when his brutal thirst for power went too far, only deepening his hatred of the clan. His fighting style is Mugen Tenshin Ninjutsu at its core, and he even possesses the ability to recognize and imitate the moves of opponents he has encountered, while keeping original techniques up his sleeve.
Raidou will not back down from anyone. Not even two of the deadliest ninjas known to man will intimidate the boss. These new screens showcase Raidou squaring off against his former fellow clan member Hayate, as well as the sharp and quick moving Hayabusa. Who will win the battle as these skillful fighters square off against one another within the Danger Zone stage?
Despite facing an opponent as deadly as Raidou, it's still important that characters are looking their best. Kasumi, Phase 4, Tina, Mila and Alpha-152 are all wearing their "never before seen" costumes to the fight, and have also spent more time doing their customizable hair than they will in the actual fight. These unique outfits and hairstyles are exclusive to the upcoming title. Win or lose, be sure to rock these special clothes and looks with pride.Dead or Alive 5 Last Round
will allow players to preview the action for free courtesy of Dead or Alive 5 Last Round: Core Fighters
. We covered some of the details on the trial last month
, with more details from the game's publisher Tecmo Koei right here
. With over 300 costumes on offer as soon as the game's fired up, along with the hairstyle and accessory options, there's plenty of choice on how to make your characters' look. Fans of the Dead or Alive
series, who may have already indulged in chopping and changing rosters, outfits and customizable accessories in Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate
, will be extremely pleased to know that they can bring their fighters, gear, and even purchased DLC content from the last-gen, straight into the upcoming DOA title on Xbox One.
You've already checked out the regeneration of brutality as Raidou made his aggressive entrance back into the series with the announcement trailer. Now, it is time to see if Raidou's brutality is beastly enough to defeat three separate fighters in these three newly released trailers.
First up, Raidou takes on the deadly ninja that is, Ryu Hayabusa:
Hayate steps up for the second fight and gets off to a good start. Can he keep bringing the fight until the end?
Lastly, will Ayane show us men how it's supposed to be done, or will she be destroyed by the sheer strength of Raidou?
Gamers will be able to get to grips with Raidou themselves once Dead or Alive 5 Last Round
