Remember how we were all seething over Microsoft's decision to increase the price
of Xbox Live from $59.99 to $69.99? Remember how we questioned this move in a weak economy? (Oh yes, the recession ended in June of 2009, feels like it right?) Well amidst all the screaming and hair pulling Microsoft offered its legacy customers the opportunity to lock in their next Xbox Live Gold renewal fee for 30%, or $39.99.
The offer to lock in the discounted fee ends October 1st.
This is a public service announcement to remind you that have not done so, to click here to this Xbox page
, and lock in your discounted rate.
You will not be charged at this time $39.99 but will receive the discounted price when your next renewal comes up for payment.
The reduced price will vary across all regions and you will need a credit card (or PayPal) registered to your Gold account to take Microsoft up on their offer.
Some of us were lucky enough to pay $59.99 now and lock in $39.99 for nearly a year later! Woooo!
Ahem, yes well this has been your public service announcement.
