Zoo Tycoon Friends Service to be Discontinued

Back in December, Zoo Tycoon Friends (Win 8) and Zoo Tycoon Friends (WP) were both quietly delisted from the Marketplace, meaning that, if you don't have the title, you will not be able to grab it. Of course, the game has a bit of a strange history with regard to access, so many of you did not have a chance to grab it. The Windows 8 version was only ever released in Trinidad & Tobago and the Windows Phone version was released in the US for just one or two days.

Despite all that, however, some people did grab the game, and will now have to deal with the discontinuation of services related to it. Here's the direct text of the email sent by the publisher:

On April 28, 2015 we will be discontinuing the Zoo Tycoon Friends service. At that time, the game will cease working. We will continue to provide community support for the title through that date. Thank you for your interest in Zoo Tycoon Friends.What exactly does this mean, achievement-wise, for those of you who have Zoo Tycoon Friends? Sadly, without the servers, the game is unplayable. This means that all of the achievements become unobtainable on April 28th. For many people, they're already unobtainable as there have been connection issues since November, but this varies from person to person. If you are able to connect, you have just about three months to get everything done.
