Privacy Issues

UPDATE: As of 10am GMT this issue seems to be fixed. We are now scanning the entire database of gamers to get them set back to normal. Please be patient during this time, we will get to you soon.

Hi all

As you have no doubt noticed, many people on the site have a red "no entry" symbol next to their GamerTag which normally indicates they have their Xbox privacy settings on.

This is due to an issue with the Xbox API we use returning no data for gamers' game lists. It started around 24 hours ago and coincided with the Xbox Live status update regarding Core services being down.

The Core Services have been back up for some time now, but the issue with our API is ongoing. We have therefore paused the scanners until it is resolved.

Xbox are aware of the issue and are working on it now.

Some things to note:

1. Any achievements you are earning during this time that are popping normally WILL count towards your achievement streaks when the API is back up. You will not lose your streak if you have earned at least one online achievement each day, even if we have not picked them up

2. GTASC scoring will not be affected as long as the API is fixed in the next few days. We will make sure anyone that has currently been flagged as being private is scanned and put "back to normal". Online achievements earned during the outage will still count.

Some of you will have noticed the new Xbox Live Status box that is on the forum and scanner pages - we will add our own scanner status to this box from now on and also add this box to more pages in the next site update.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused, unfortunately this is out of our hands currently, but I will keep you posted as to progress.
