TA Gaming Stats - March 2nd to 8th 2015

By Chewie, 2 years ago
This report is for the period March 2nd to March 8th 2015.

Welcome to the stats for the first full week of March here on TA. March madness has again gripped my Ewok helpers, the Statisticles so they're all bouncing off the ceiling and breeding like rabbits. Luckily I've converted the treehouse into an instant incinerator for when things get too wild. It'll become particularly handy when barbeque season starts up again.

Games Started
66,245 TrueAchievements gamers started a total of 101,010 games between them (2,143 different games).

New "Games with Gold" title Rayman Legends secures its lead, jumping from 11,700 to over 23,100 starters.

New release Zombie Army Trilogy takes second place with over 2,700 starters and other new title ScreamRide grabs fifth with 1,600. Unfortunately, no other new releases - Shiftlings, OlliOlli or White Night - managed to make the table.

After NBA LIVE 15 was added to the EA Access Vault the previous week, Madden NFL 15 followed suit this week. However, it doesn't pull in as many starters as the basketball title does, settling for ninth with 900 behind NBA's sixth with 1,200.

Top Xbox One Games Started

The new 360 "Games with Gold" title Tomb Raider jumps up into first place with just under 4,000 starters. That might seem lower than expected, but the game doesn't exactly throw achievements at you early on so there are probably far more people who have started it but haven't popped their first achievement yet. Midnight Club: Los Angeles slips into ninth thanks to a Rockstar sale, despite containing two discontinued achievements.

Top Xbox 360 Games Started

Previous freebie Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons still leads on the Arcade above recent release Resident Evil Revelations 2 (Xbox 360). Most of the rest of the table is made up of titles that are recent, easy or both, as well as those recently on sale or part of promotional giveaways, such as State of Decay and Joy Ride Turbo.

Top Xbox Live Arcade Games Started

After slipping down the table previously, Despicable Me: Minion Rush (Win 8) rushes back into the lead on W8 with almost 160 starters.

Top Windows Games Started

Make It Rain: The Love of Money (WP) continues to massively dominate on WP, despite dropping below the 1,000 starter mark. The rest of the table is an almost exact copy of the previous week, apart from Age of Empires: Castle Siege (WP) slipping from eighth to tenth.

Top Windows Phone Games Started

Games Completed
9,024 TrueAchievements gamers completed a total of 15,719 games between them (1,736 different games).

The new "Squad Pack" DLC puts LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham at the top of the table with almost 500 completions, above recent easy release Pneuma: Breath of Life in second with 370.

Top Xbox One Games Completed

Sniper Elite continues to lead whilst the DLC has the same effect for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (Xbox 360) as it did on the One, this time putting it in second with over 140 completions. The Tomb Raider completions are already starting to filter in, probably thanks to all the new players helping people to boost the multiplayer aspect. It takes fourth with over 40 completions.

Top Xbox 360 Games Completed

I did say that most of the started Arcade titles were easy didn't I. Many of them appear again here alongside other easy titles.

Top Xbox Live Arcade Games Completed

With Microsoft Solitaire Collection (Win 8) blasted from the table following a recent achievement-carrying update, Microsoft Minesweeper (Win 8) steps up to take its place alongside Microsoft Mahjong (Win 8).

Top Windows Games Completed

The completions for Make It Rain take a jump up from 20 to over 80 as the early glitchiness begins to settle down.

Top Windows Phone Games Completed

Achievements Won
128,790 TrueAchievements gamers won a total of 2,215,068 achievements online between them (70,526 different achievements).

Rayman loses out on a clean sweep thanks to a patch fixing Stick With It in Halo: The Master Chief Collection, making it finally obtainable and putting it in fourth.

Top Xbox One Achievements Won

Lara does manage the clean sweep as nothing else comes close to being played as much as Tomb Raider

Top Xbox 360 Achievements Won

Brothers also again takes the clean sweep. It's probably going to take another XBLA "Games with Gold" title in April to disrupt this one.

Top Xbox Live Arcade Achievements Won

People continue to plug away at all the new Solitaire achievements, though it misses out on the clean sweep thanks to Minion Rush.

Top Windows Achievements Won

As though there'd be any doubt, Make It Rain sweeps the table.

Top Windows Phone Achievements Won

After rising up from fifth last week, Rayman helps push Platformer up from fourth to third, above Action and Role-Playing. No other genres really see much movement this week.
