Edge Of Eternity Gets Star Soundtrack Composer

By Andrew Ogley, 1 year ago
Since the start of the year, we've been following the successful kickstarter campaign that has led to the birth of the indie title, Edge of Eternity. The game is currently in development by French indie studio, Midgar, and promises to be a tribute to the classic JRPG's. As we were able to report just recently, from the screenshots it does indeed look to be shaping up well.

The continued success of the kickstarter campaign has led to another coup for the studio, as it has managed to get star composer, Yasunori Mitsuda, onboard to create the soundtrack. This is the same Mitsuda that created the music for the classic game Chronos Trigger almost 20 years ago.

The composer is expected to contribute more than ten new soundtracks for the game, including the opening, the main theme, the battle theme, and character themes. This is something that will no doubt please the fans of his work.

The man of the moment is clearly happy to be involved saying:

In this project "Edge Of Eternity" I'll take part as a music composer, looking forward to create music for such an epic perspective, in a world which I really love. I'm sure the game will be a great work with a collaboration between French and Japanese creators. I hope everybody also look forward to the goal of this project, and for its realisation we need your cooperation. I'll do my best to contribute to a beautiful music you all will love.
Edge of Eternity remains scheduled for a 2016 release on Xbox One.
